Fair Franchising Initiative (FFI) is pleased to announce the engagement of Franchisee Advocacy Consulting (FAC) to provide legislative consultancy services to FFI. Importantly, FAC’s Principal, Keith Miller has accepted the role as FFI’s Director of Legislative Affairs.
FFI President, Prakash Shah, “We are pleased to bring Franchisee Advocacy Consulting and Keith Miller on as part of our team to drive legislative efforts for our franchisee members, with a focus on fair franchising legislation. It is important that our laws and regulations protect those franchise owners that have invested in our local communities. Keith has the experience needed for these fair franchising efforts to be successful.”
“I appreciate this opportunity to work with the Fair Franchising Initiative executive team, its trustees, and its members”, stated Keith Miller. “I love the passion and commitment of this organization. I truly believe in the power of franchisees to engage in issues that positively impact them, working to build and protect the equity in their businesses.”
About Fair Franchising Initiative: Fair Franchising Initiative is an independent, advocacy group of franchised hotel owners, highlighting most crucial issues of our time – sustainable hotel franchising, profitability growth and well-being of hospitality eco-system. Our Vision is to collaborate with other hotel ownership associations, industry associations, franchise advisory councils, and policy makers to positively impact the system for the benefit of the industry, hospitality employees, and customers while vigorously safeguarding the interest of hotel owners.
About Franchisee Advocacy Consulting: Franchisee Advocacy was formed by Principal Keith Miller in 2018 to fill a void. Franchise owners, as a class, are the largest investors in the franchise industry. However, franchisees also have the weakest voice with legislators, regulators, and leaders in the franchise industry. This gap, of investor size versus voice, means franchisees have little leverage over how policies directly impact the businesses they have invested in, especially policies that are unique to the franchise industry. Franchisee Advocacy Consulting will assist franchisees, franchisee groups, and franchisee associations to better engage franchisees in gaining a stronger voice and become a special interest group to be reckoned with.
